San Diego

Trip 2 – Day 7

Tuesday, January 15, 2013

After last night’s long chat with my old friend, (she’s not old, it’s a friendship that has spanned 30+ years) she decided to come and visit us this morning!!!!  And, she brought her sweet, sweet little granddaughter, too!  She will remain unnamed, as her visit might have entailed a “doctor’s appointment,”  but that is just a moot detail.  It was so good to see her – she hasn’t changed a bit – still looks as young and beautiful as ever.  Miss you, dear friend – I promise to keep in touch!

Again, very fortunately, we had an uneventful drive down the coast to San Diego.   We are staying at a park on Mission Bay – with a Bay view!  It is lovely and we actually sat outside, on lawn chairs, and enjoyed the sun!

We ventured into some part of town, went to the market and Ace Hardware for some parts.

We saw lots of bikes, but how could you resist a nice pink one like this?

I needed the clip that goes on the end of a leash so that I can make a long tether for the dog.  No one wants to hold the leash as he sniffs around the back of our campsite.  I have the tools.  I can do this.

Craig and I feasted on burritos (Craig) and tacos (me) and Dad had chicken and broccoli.  It would be a sacrilege to be in California, and not eat beans.  (~”Mexican-type meal”)

Today’s weather:  Sunny

Daytime temperature:  60’s

Tonight’s temperature:  low 40’s
