Resting

Trip 2 – Day 39

Saturday, February 16, 2013

Even though today is Saturday, it was deemed a day of rest.  We needed to slow things down and give Dad a chance to heal and recuperate.  Everyone one took advantage of this.  Not much happened.  We walked, we ate, there were naps, Craig swam, and we walked some more.

I have found my favorite RV.  It is located not far from us, and is a beautiful silver travel trailer possibly from the 1960’s.

It is a “permanent,” which means that it owned by someone who leaves it here, in the same site, year-round.  The permanent rigs usually have a room built on the side, which gives more space for entertaining or just plain sitting.  It looks like this rig has been “re-vitalized” inside, and is meticulously cared for outside.  It is just cute.

After dinner, it was decided that we would walk to Freddy’s Fountain for ice cream, which was eaten on the patio by the fire pit.

What a treat – to wear shorts and eat ice cream outside – in February.  We’re loving every minute of it!
