The weather today was slightly colder and somewhat windy, so there was not a lot of activity from the inhabitants of the Hag.  We walked Wiley, people napped, etc.

At noon, the orchestra students from Southwest High School in El Centro came and played up in Hays Hall.  We, of course, went.  They were good, and it was wonderful to see teen-aged kids.

We like to walk Wiley on the desert trails that are closest to our site.  The main trail in this area is called the “Labyrinth Trail,” as a short way in is a small labyrinth.

I mentioned to Wiley that we were going to walk this.  He would have NONE of it.  He became somewhat agitated, looked back at the main trail, and just wouldn’t walk it with me.  This is an unusual response for him, as he’s usually pretty compliant.  I am not sure what this says about him.  (maybe nothing…..maybe SOMETHING?)  As he has spent a good portion of many days in prayer, one would think that he would enjoy the quiet contemplation.  I guess not.
