To Marion’s

Trip 2 – Day 50

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

We had a good start today.  Dad went down to the food cart and ordered up breakfast, which was delivered to our door about 15 minutes later.  Craig and I joined him with our bowls of granola and local walnut sourdough bread with orange marmalade.  Delicious, if I do say so myself.

We drove from Sacramento to Redding without incident and made the “required” stop at Granzella’s in Williams.  No trip is complete without a wonderful meatball sandwich.  We travel with TUMS, (which no one seemed to need) so …….. Life. Is. Good.

My wonderful Mother-In-Law lives in Redding, Ca.  Any trip up or down I-5 gives us reason to stop and see her.  We arrived today around 3:00 for a wonderful visit.  We helped out with a little project involving her hot tub, had dinner and called it an early night.  We seem to be tired.  It must be post-vacation re-entry syndrome.  I’m sure it’s not fatal, but as it progresses, I’m guessing it will feel like it is.

Today’s weather:  sunny and not as warm as we’re used to

Daytime temperature:  In the 60’s

Nighttime temperature:  In the 40’s
